We have two special designed production lines to make the different shapes of grains for the variety of applications.
The high quality bauxite is obtained in Shanxi Province and Henan Province as the main raw material to smelt brown fused alumina. The details are as follows:
Requirements for alumina content: Al2O3: 87-88%, the alumina content should not be less than 85%.
Silica content requirements: SiO2 content of bauxite should not exceed 4%, which is basically maintained between 2-3.4%.
Bulk density of high alumina material: bulk density at least 2.3-2.5g/cm3.
Others: CaO+MgO should not be higher than 0.6% or 0.8%, generally the lower the better. Regarding the problem of high CaO content in brown fused alumina, CaO content of the bauxite is required to be as low as possible, or the refining time of brown fused alumina is adjusted to achieve the purpose of reducing impurities.
The main process of smelting brown fused alumina:
Mix bauxite, iron filings and anthracite in a certain proportion.
Prepare for graphite electrodes (generating high temperature and high pressure arcs).
Add the raw materials into the electric arc furnace, and the raw materials are refined in the electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2250 ℃ to make brown fused alumina.
After smelting for several hours under high temperature, then brown fused alumina will be poured out.
Cool the brown fused alumina in a big round container.
Put the brown fused alumina blocks into the sand making machine to produce different grains.
In the production process of brown fused alumina several important factors need to be grasped, that is, temperature, time, ratio of raw materials, etc. These are all related to the quality and performance of the product, so it must be strictly controlled during production.
For the different applications of fused alumina, we can provide the washing by water or wind to improve the bulk density and purity of the finished products.
According to the special purpose of end user, we also provide the high temperature calcined fused alumina and retreated fused alumina.
Packing can be done according to customer's different requirement.
